Biden: Dems’ Televised Jan. 6 Hearing Was About a ‘Dagger at the Throat of Our Democracy’ – But, ‘I Didn’t Get to Watch’

On Friday, President Joe Biden said that the Democrats’ nationally-televised Jan. 6 select committee on Thursday was “all about” saving America’s democracy – but, he didn’t watch it because he had more important things to do.

Biden made the revelation during a press event about the nation’s economy:

“I know together, and I mean this, we can unite and defend this nation – Democrats and Republicans – and allow no one to place a dagger at the throat of our democracy.

“That’s what those hearings are all about. You’re going to hear a lot more.

“I didn’t get to watch them last night because I was doing other business. But, I tell you what, there’s a lot going on.”

Biden, then, changed the subject.
