(CNSNews.com) – Dr. Kevin O’Connor, President Biden’s doctor, said Tuesday that the president “feels well enough to resume his physical exercise regime” on the fifth day of isolation after testing positive for COVID-19, and his symptoms have “almost completely resolved.”
“President Biden completed his five-day course of PAXLOVID last night. His symptoms have now almost completely resolved. His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and temperature remain absolutely normal,” O’Connor wrote in a letter.
“His oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear. The President now feels well enough to resume his physical exercise regime,” the president’s doctor said.
“The President will now continue isolation today, as his ‘Day Five,’” O’Connor wrote. “As I’ve stated previously, the President continues to be specifically conscientious to protect any of the Executive Residence, White House, Secret Service and other staff whose duties require any (albeit socially distanced) proximity to him.”
The president took part virtually on Tuesday in a meeting with the chairman of the Republic of Korea Conglomerate SK Group.
He said Monday that he hopes to go back to work in person by the end of the week. Until then, Biden said that he’s been “keeping a full schedule,” taking part in “four major events” on Monday.
