‘CEO of Anti-Woke,’ Vivek Ramaswamy, Announces He is Running as a GOP Candidate for President
(CNSNews.com) — On Feb. 21, American entrepreneur, author, and political activist Vivek Ramaswamy announced that he is running for president in 2024. Ramaswamy is seeking the Republican Party’s nomination. If elected, he would become the youngest president in U.S. history. He has been referred to as “The C.E.O. of Anti-Woke.”
Ramaswamy, 37, graduated from Harvard College summa cum laude and entered the entrepreneurial world in 2007 when he co-founded Campus Venture Network, which helped provide technological resources for university entrepreneurs. After the company was acquired in 2009, he co-managed QVT Financials’ biotech portfolio, while also attending Yale Law School.
In 2014, Ramaswamy founded Roivant Sciences, which is a pharmaceutical company that focuses on applying technology to drug development. He served as the CEO of the company from its inception till 2021.
After stepping down from Roivant Sciences, Ramaswamy published his first book, Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Justice Scam. The book argues that corporations’ woke efforts to advance social and political ideology “divides us as a people.”
We’ve celebrated our “diversity” so much that we forgot all the ways we’re really the same as Americans, bound by ideals that united a divided, headstrong group of people 250 years ago. I believe deep in my bones those ideals still exist. I’m running for President to revive them. pic.twitter.com/bz5Qtt4tmm

In 2022, Ramaswamy founded Strive Asset Management, which is a push-back against larger companies in the same realm, such as BlackRock and Vanguard. Ramaswamy has been highly critical of ESG activities, and believes that the courtship of business and politics proves detrimental to shareholders.
During this time, he also released his second book, Nation of Victims: Identity Politics, the Death of Merit, and the Path Back to Excellence. This book states that he “spares neither left nor right in this scathing indictment of the victimhood culture at the heart of America’s national decline.”
Ramaswamy, an Ohio native, considered candidacy for the U.S. Senate election in Ohio during the 2022 election cycle, but ended up not seeking the open seat. As he began to ramp up his voice in politics, speculation grew that he would announce his run for the 2024 presidential election.
On Feb. 21, on Tucker Carlson Tonight, Ramaswamy threw his hat into the ring for the Republican Party’s nomination.
The fresh presidential candidate has wasted no time getting on the campaign trail. After his announcement, Ramaswamy made a trip to Rochester, New Hampshire, where spoke to Fox and Friends and locals about how he believes it’s “time to declare independence from China and unleash the American economy at the same time.”
Ramaswamy still stands unspoken on many issues that America currently faces. However, through a tweet he challenged all GOP candidates to join him in “making some easy commitments.”
These “commitments” include:
End affirmative action
Abandon climate religion
Total decoupling from China
8-year limits for all federal bureaucrats
Say NO to central bank digital currencies
Release the “state action” files
I challenge every GOP candidate to join me in making some easy commitments:
– End affirmative action
– Abandon climate religion
– Total decoupling from China
– 8-year limits for all federal bureaucrats
– Say NO to central bank digital currencies
– Release the “state action” files— Vivek Ramaswamy (@VivekGRamaswamy) February 22, 2023
