Geraldo: ‘Why Bother with ‘Bull***t?’ DOJ Should Drop Trump Probe after ‘Biden’s Own Document Embarrassment’

Republicans are accusing Democrats and the Justice Department of hypocrisy after the revelation that, like former President Donald Trump, Joe Biden had once had documents “with classified markings” in his possession – and liberal journalist and commentator Geraldo Rivera agrees.

“Biden’s own document embarrassment should just give DOJ more reason to drop probe of Trump’s documents. Neither had criminal intent. Why bother with bull***t?” Rivera tweeted Tuesday.

As CNSNews.com reported Tuesday, Biden’s classified documents were discovered six days before the 2020 election, but weren’t made public until this week:

“After all the fuss about top secret documents found at President Donald Trump’s Florida estate, it turns out that former Vice President Joe Biden also had documents ‘with classified markings’” in his possession.

“The classified documents were discovered in office space formerly used by Joe Biden at the University of Pennsylvania’s Biden Center in Washington, D.C., on November 2, 2022 — six days before the general election.

“But we’re just hearing about it now, from a statement released by the White House Counsel’s Office.”

Reportedly, Attorney General Merrick Garland has asked the U.S. attorney in Chicago to investigate the discovery – but, has not appointed a special counsel, as he did in Trump’s ongoing case.

Republicans were quick to use social media to point out Democrats’ hypocrisy and condemn the apparent two-tiered justice system. Their tweets commenting on the double-standard include:
