Jamie Foxx breaks silence about his major health scare in new video
Actor and comedian Jamie Foxx, after being hospitalized back in April, has posted about the process and healing in an emotional video on his Instagram. Foxx says he is “coming back” from his trial.
Foxx said there was speculation about the infirmities that he was suffering from during the last few months but dismissed claims of him becoming “blind” or “paralyzed.”
He said, “I went to hell and back, and my road to recovery had some potholes as well, but I’m coming back and I’m able to work, so I want to thank the people who let me work, and I just want to say that I love everybody and I love all the love that I got.”
At the time that Foxx became sick, he was in Atlanta shooting a comedy film called, “Back in Action,” starring him and Cameron Diaz.
Foxx said that he was resistant to giving updates on the state of his condition when he was in the hospital. He wanted his audience to see him “laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show” instead of having “tubes running out of [him]” while he was hospitalized.
At the time of his hospitalization, Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, posted on Instagram and said, “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday, Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
Dozens of celebrities and thousands of fans gave thanks in the comments of Foxx comeback video.
Kevin Hart, who helped inform the public about some updates on Foxx, said, “This video just warmed my soul….Foxx you are needed man. We love you and we are forever with you.”
Foxx said he wished that everyone could have similar support for them when they faced moments as he did. He credited his sister, daughter, good medical people, and God for saving his life so he could share the video.
