Mark Levin on Trump Indictment: This is a 'War on Conservatism and MAGA' to Stop Trump From Getting Reelected

Mark Levin, a conservative author, constitutional scholar, and talk radio host — No. 3 in the nation — denounced the indictment of former President Donald Trump by a “local D.A.” in New York County, saying the district attorney should be “disbarred” and that the “Democrat Party has now dragged the country into tyranny.”

He added, “It’s time for the Republican Party to understand that this is a war on the party. It is a war on conservatism and MAGA. It is an effort to ensure that Donald can never be president again.”

Levin made his remarks by telephone on Hannity, March 30, after news of the indictment was leaked to the press. 

“Every Republican in the country, every conservative in the country — I don’t care what kind of conservative you are — we must circle the wagons and defeat the Democrat Party,” said Levin.  “Their D.A. in Manhattan and Atlanta, their special counsel in Washington, these cases that they are bringing in Democrat cities with Democrat grand juries, with Democrat judges, with Democrat juries — this is a battle where the Democrat Party has now dragged the country into tyranny.”

“That is what they’ve done,” he said.  “They want to change the election rules so they can’t lose. The borders are wide open. They don’t enforce the law. They want to pack the Supreme Court. They want to pack the Senate. They’ve gone after Trump on the emoluments clause. They’ve gone after him on everything they possibly can.”

“Now, they want to decide who the Republican nominee for president will be,” said Levin. “The Democrat Party is the party of Pravda, it’s the party of Stalin. It doesn’t believe that babies that are born can be protected after they are born, that it’s a choice.”

“This it is a party that is out of control,” he added. “Their D.A.s are out of control. Alvin Bragg [D.A. in New York County] should be disbarred. Rather then wringing our hands, let’s take some action. The D.A. in Atlanta, she needs to be disbarred.

“It’s time for the Republican Party to understand that this is a war on the party,” said Levin.  “It is a war on conservatism and MAGA. It is an effort to ensure that Donald can never be president again.”

Levin continued, “Look, he is the leading nominee right now in the polls. Have you heard of a local D.A. bringing phony charges against a possible nominee of the opposite party? The only person this benefits doesn’t benefit justice, it benefits Joe Biden. That’s it.”
