Mother of Texas Shooter: ‘Please Don’t Judge Him’

The mother of  Uvalde, Texas school shooter, Salvador Ramos, pleaded for people to “not judge him,” and added, “ I don’t know what he was thinking,” reported Mediaite. 

This came after her son killed 19 students and two adults on May 24 at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. This reportedly was the third-deadliest school shooting in the history of the U.S.

“I have no words. I have no words to say. I don’t know what he was thinking,” the mother, Adriana Reyes, told CNN. “He had his reasons for doing what he did and please don’t judge him.”

“Forgive me. Forgive my son. I know he had his reasons,” she said.

Reyes went on to say she did not know what his reasons were behind the deadly shooting. Reyes also told ABC News she was unaware of her son purchasing semi-automatic rifles on his 18th birthday.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Reyes said, “My son wasn’t a violent person. I’m surprised by what he did. I’m praying for all those innocent children, yes I am. They [the children] had no part in this.”

Ramos’ grandfather, Ronaldo Reyes, told Fox News the shooter’s mother is “feeling bad for everybody,” adding “she lost her son too.”

According to The Washington Post, Ramos experienced a tumultuous life at home. Before going to Robb Elementary School, Ramos shot his grandmother in the face, leaving her in critical condition.
