Ted Cruz: How BidenFlation Is Hurting Your Football Tailgate Party

“President Biden fumbled a once thriving economy,” Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Tuesday.

Cheering the start of the upcoming pigskin season, Cruz tweeted “good news” and “bad news” for football fans.

“Good news: Football is returning,” Cruz wrote in his post, before providing the bad news: “#BidenFlation is making your tailgate more expensive.”

Cruz, then, listed how prices of traditional ingredients of a tasty tailgate party, from hot dogs to chicken, have recorded double-digit percentage increases.

Last week, President Joe Biden cited a lesser-used measure to claim there was “zero percent inflation in the month of July,” when the statistic typically relied up shows inflation had actually jumped 8.5% over the previous year.
